Musings from Galilee

A beautifully illustrated and tastefully presented Messianic poetry book written by Ruth J. Nessim, a Jewish believer in Jesus who has been living in Israel for almost 35 years.

A unique and delightful gift for anyone who has a heart for Israel and the Jewish people.

The poems are about Jesus the Messiah, about life's joys and sorrows, about Israel - her feasts, her history and her present troubles, about the Church, and about God's wonderful creation.

92 Pages.

The following poem is taken from Ruth's book

Who Was this Jesus?

The message of Jesus is sung round the earth,
As millions of people remember His birth.
A time of rejoicing, of giving and Light
Of sharing with others on this holy night.
Angelic choirs their praises on high
Sang to our Saviour while shepherds drew nigh;
And kings from the East travelled in from afar,
Gazing intently upon that bright star.
What glory! What wonder! This story imparts
Unspeakable joy to our souls and our hearts.
But have we forgotten? This child was a Jew,
The one born in Bethlehem suffered for you.
And as you rejoice, do this one thing as well;
Remember the people of Israel.
For though they throughout the long centuries mourn,
Unto them also this Baby was born,
Their promised Messiah, Redeemer and King:
Pray that this people His praises will sing.

Is Psalm 69 Messianic?

Psalm 69 is quoted in the New Testament as speaking of the Messiah, yet there is confession of failure in the Psalm. How can this be? Do we take this Psalm to be Messianic or simply about King David?
